USS Kauffman (FFG-59) - is an US Navy Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate named for Vice Admiral James. L Kauffman and his son, Rear Admiral Draper L. Kauffman. Vessel was laid down on 28 February 1987 at Bath, Maine and is still in active service (2011).
